"MIRANO" PINOT NERO DOC 2020
Grapes: 100% Pinot Nero
Harvest: the grapes are harvested by hand in 20 kg perforated boxes, in the first days of September.
Soil type, exposure and altitude: the vineyards are planted on a calcareous - clayey soil, with north / west exposure, 520 meters above sea level.
Training system: espalier with guyot pruning.
Vinification: the vinification of the grapes takes place in open tanks, in which the fermenting must comes into contact with the skins through frequent pumping over and punching down. Thanks to these techniques the coloring substances and the aromas contained in the peel are extracted and passed to the wine.
At the end of the fermentation it is transferred from the steel to the barriques in which the malolactic fermentation takes place and, subsequently, the maturation for about 10 months.
Organoleptic profile: the “Mirano” Pinot Nero shows a ruby red that varies from light to intense depending on the vintage. Its bouquet seduces with complex and layered aromas of fruit, such as ripe berries and cherries, spicy notes of pepper and leather also perceived on the palate.
In the mouth the wine excites for its light and velvety tannins, with elegance and finesse, and for its harmonious structure and body that make it very long-lived.
Pinot Noir goes perfectly with game and red meats.
Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.
Serving temperature: 16 ° - 18 ° C to better appreciate its complexity and its aromas.
